The JobKeeper Payment scheme is a subsidy to support businesses and not-for-profit organisations significantly affected by COVID-19, to help keep more Australians in jobs. The JobKeeper Payment will be available to eligible businesses until 28 March 2021.

Arts Queensland Funding and Support

Arts Queensland is implementing a number of measures to support the Queensland arts sector and the individuals, organisations and collectives impacted by COVID-19. It includes a range of new programs, funding boosts, funding extensions, changes to application timeframes and guidelines and rent relief for tenants based in Queensland Government Arts infrastructure.

The Government, Reserve Bank of Australia and the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority have taken coordinated action to support the flow of credit in the Australian economy, in particular for small and medium sized enterprises. 

Indigenous Business Australia (IBA)

Indigenous Business Australia is supporting those Indigenous businesses who have been impacted by the COVID-19 crisis, including non-IBA customers.

Support for commercial tenants

If you are a small to medium sized business affected by COVID-19, support is available to help you manage your commercial lease and rental obligations. 

Negotiating commercial rent relief during COVID-19

If your business has been affected by COVID-19, you may be able to negotiate with your landlord or tenant for rent relief or other support in relation to your commercial lease, or seek help with dispute resolution. Legislation is in place to help both parties work together to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19

COVID-19 assistance for tourism lease, licence and permit holders

In response to the impact of COVID-19 on the tourism industry, the Queensland Government is providing rent relief for holders of tourism leases, licences and permits on state land.
