The founding partner of the RMS Group, Mounir comes from a strong retail background, having been the general manager of Schwarzkopf Cosmetics prior to launching Brisbane’s first cocktail bar, Jorge, in 2001.
Over the past 19 years, Mounir has been responsible for establishing RMS’ strong company culture. More recently, his role has been to drive the group’s expansion process, with a focus on seeking out new sites that match the vision of the business.
Mounir has owned and operated over 20 hospitality venues, including hotels, pubs, clubs, restaurants, bars, cafes, event spaces, food halls and production kitchens that employed over 100 staff prior COVID, and have trained and qualified a number of chefs over the years.
With strong ties to the local community and Australian music and event industries, Mounir has partnered with likes of Brisbane City Council, Conrad Treasury Casino, Ministry of Sound, Michael Chugg Entertainment, and Australia’s largest property owners, Dexus, to produce and coordinate events that drive community interaction and tourism into the Brisbane market place.
With the RMS Group focused on growing its strong hold within the City and Valley precincts, Mounir continues to be called upon to consult across various industries, including by property owners, property agents and private groups such as pub groups, café and restaurant operators and retail operators.
