PRESENTERS
Frances Lisson PSM, Chief Negotiator India FTA, First Assistant Secretary at Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT)
Ms Lisson is an experienced trade negotiator and senior Australian diplomat.
She is currently Chief Negotiator for the Australia-India CECA and recently concluded the Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA) with India. Ms Lisson has also successfully lead FTA negotiations with Japan, and FTA goods negotiations with China and the ROK.
Ms Lisson was Australia’s Ambassador to the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva (2017-2020), Deputy Ambassador to the United Nations in New York (2005-2008) and Deputy High Commissioner to Ottawa (1997-2001).
Diana Gueorguieva, Manager International Trade and Strategic Relationships at Business Chamber Queensland
Diana has more than 20 years’ experience in international trade, business development and management experience in her current role at Business Chamber Queensland. Diana has been providing trade advice, assisting with overseas market research, strategy development and implementation and finding potential business partners overseas.
Emma Logan, Assistant Director in the Free Trade Agreement Goods Branch at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade
Emma was a lead negotiator on the Australia-India Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement and is currently a lead negotiator on the Comprehensive Agreement with India, working specifically on the Rules of Origin Chapter. Prior to her time at DFAT, Emma has worked for the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science and the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment negotiating Free Trade Agreements and representing Australia in World Trade Organization trade related Committees.
Jinendra Khara, Advisor Strategic Partnerships at Redland City Council
Jinendra brings over two decades of Asian & Australian work experience specialising in trade, investment attraction and international education space having worked with the University of Queensland, the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), Tata Motors and his current role at Redland City Council.
Abhinav Bhatia , Queensland Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner – South Asia at Trade and Investment Queensland
Abhinav is currently the Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner for South Asia for the Queensland Government, Australia. An expert in International Trade and Investments, Abhinav has worked with several foreign governments, corporates, and non-profits.
